Guide to Shopping the Hunter for Target Collection

Who's excited about #HunterxTarget? I know I am and I want everything! This limited edition collection with over 300 items between Target and Hunter is sure to sell out fast. Here are my tips for a successful shopping trip online and in-store.

1) Know the Basics

Limited edition collection launches in-stores and online April 14, 2018
and runs from April 14 to June 14, or while supplies last.

The Hunter for Target collection is available in select stores only.
So check HERE to make sure your local Target will have the collection.

54 items from the collection will be online exclusives.
There are also some in-store only exclusives. These will be the small, low-priced items.

There will be no purchase quantity limits for Target stores. 

Online purchases will be limited to five of the same item.

Checkout the Size Chart ahead of time and read some of the reviews online.

2) Shopping List

I could not stress the importance of having a shopping list. Review the LOOK BOOK and make your wish list. Know what items will be online exclusives and what items you will be shopping in-store. You don't want to be "looking around" and have everything sell out on you.

3) Target Store Shoppers

Verify that your local Target is carrying the collection and also have a "back-up" Target Store in case you do not find the items you want. Arrive early! In some areas arriving 30 minutes before the store opens will be fine but in bigger cities with a larger population you will need to be there 1-2 hours before the store opens. Bringing a shopping buddy with you is also a great idea. This will help increase your chances of getting items. Make sure you know each others wish list and sizes.

4) Online Target Shoppers

Let me start by saying you must be patient! Online launches never go live at midnight. The collection will go live online in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 14. Target does not announce a launch time to avoid having their website crash. Be prepared to stay up late. 

Have your online Target account ready beforehand. Have all your information entered, including payment method. You don't want to waste any time setting-up an account. Sign in and be ready to shop. Shop fast and checkout fast! Just because something is in your cart it doesn't guarantee it.

5) Be Persistent

If you didn't get your hands on your coveted items don't fret, you might still have a chance. Check fitting rooms. Many times after the morning rush the fitting rooms are flooded with pieces from the collection. You can even check customer service for returns. If not, keep checking your Target store for the next couple of days because there will be returns.

We are a couple days away from the anticipated Victoria Beckham for Target Collection and it's time to start planning. Shopping Target collaborations are not always easy (remember Lilly Pulitzer), so here are my tips for your shopping trip online and in-store.

1) Basic Facts

Collection launches in-stores and online April 9, 2017

Target stores open at 8:00 am

Collection Price Range is $6-$70

All Target stores will carry the collection; however, products will vary by store.

Entire collection will be available online.

International shoppers can shop select pieces via www.VictoriaBeckham.com

There is a limit of 5 of the same item for online purchases.

There is no limits on in-store purchases.

14 Day Return Policy on collection

Use Target REDcard or Ebates to save on your purchases

Collection Sizing:

Women's Sizes: 2-16 (XS-XL)

Women's Plus Sizes: 1X-3X (14-26) ** Available online and in select stores

Girls' Sizes: 4-16 (XS-XL)

Toddler Sizes: 2T-5T,

Infant Sizes: 12M-24M

Newborn Sizes: NB-12M

2) Shopping List

Checkout the entire Collection HERE and make a list of the items you would love to get your hands on. I could not stress enough the importance of having a shopping list. Having a list helps to keep you focused whether shopping online or in-store. There is no time to waste. You don't want to be "looking around" and have everything sell out on you.

3) Online Target Shoppers

Let me start by saying you must be patient! Online launches for Target never go live at midnight. Target does not announce a launch time to avoid having their site crash. Be prepared to stay up late.
If you are shopping the collection online make sure you have a Target account. If not, sign-up beforehand and have all your information entered, including payment method. You don't want to waste time setting-up an account. Once your account is setup, sign in and be ready to shop. Once the shopping starts, don't expect the collection to appear all at once. Items usually begin to pop-up one by one. Make sure to shop fast and checkout fast. Just because something is in your cart it doesn't guarantee it. Target offers free shipping with purchases over $25, so you don't have to worry about shipping fees.

Also, have your cell phone ready to shop. In the past, certain Target collaborations have been easier to shop via mobile website.

4) Target Store Shoppers

Target stores open at 8 am. Inventory will vary from store to store. Once the collection goes live online, you can use the store locator to find out if a certain item will be in-stock at your local Target. Have a "back-up" Target Store in case you do not find the items you want.

Be ready to arrive early. Make sure you dress comfortable and weather appropriate, since you will be waiting in line outside. If needed bring a drink and snack so that you don't need to leave the line for anything.

I always suggest bringing a shopping buddy with you. This increases your chances of getting items. Make sure you know each others wish list and sizes.

5) Be Persistent

If you didn't get your hands on your coveted items you might still have a chance. Check fitting rooms. Many times after the morning rush the fitting rooms are flooded with pieces from the collection. You can even check customer service for returns. If not, keep checking your Target store for the next couple of days because there will be returns.

It's definitely time to get excited! Earlier this week Target announced that it partnered with Victoria Beckham for its limited edition spring collaboration. I absolutely LOVE Victoria Beckham's style and can't wait for the lookbook.

The collection will consist of more than 200 items for women, girls, toddler and baby. This will be the first time that Victoria Beckham is designing childrenswear. Prices will range from $6-$70 with the majority of the line being under $40.  The collection will be offered in sizes XS-3X for women and NB-XL for girls, toddler and baby.

So mark your calendars, Victoria Beckham for Target will be available April 9 through April 30, 2017, or while supplies last. Thakoon for Kohl's DesigNation Now Available!!

It seems just like yesterday that I was making my shopping list for the Kohl's Spring collaboration MILLY. Yet here we are, several months later and the next Kohl's DesigNation collaboration for the Fall of 2015 is out and available for shopping!

The 7th DesigNation designer is Thakoon Panichgul and the collection is now available online. This collaboration with Kohl's DesigNation is for a limited time and priced under $200. The collection has London as its theme and inspiration. The collection includes knit tops, sweaters, pants, dresses and accessories to beat the cold weather. 

The collection will be available in stores on September 10th.

Thakoon for Kohl's DesigNation: Fall 2015

Collaborations! Collaborations! They are everywhere lately and there are still more to come. Just last week Kohl's launched their Spring collaboration MILLY by Michelle Smith. A collection inspired by the island of Capri. The company wasted no time and at the same time announced that their 7th DesigNation designer for the Fall of 2015 would be Thakoon Panichgul.

Thakoon Panichgul is known for his modern and forward-looking style. He has dressed celebs like Emma Stone, Charlize Theron, Sarah Jessica Parker and Michelle Obama. The Thakoon brand is no stranger to collaborations. There was the fashion line in 2007 for The GAP and in December of 2008 the resort like collection for Target. 

This collaboration with Kohl's DesigNation will be for a limited time and priced under $200. The collection has London as its theme and inspiration. Expect a white and black color palette accented with burgundy, blues, plaid and stripes. The collection is set to include knit tops, sweaters, pants, dresses and accessories to beat the cold weather. Below is the first sketch released for this collection.

TOMS Clutch

The day finally arrived, TOMS for Target is here. I hope that you were all able to get the items you wanted.  I shopped online and was able to get all the items I wanted but I also wanted to stop by my local Target and see the whole collection "live" and take photos. Since I stayed up til 4:00 AM shopping the collection, I did not make it to my Target store til 2:00 PM. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the shelves were still stocked. The only item that sold out was the Ruana Poncho. I have got to say that my favorite pieces of the collection are the zippered clutches...all of them. The photos online don't do them justice. They look so much better in person - love the designs, colors and size.

We are days away from the release of the anticipated TOMS for Target Collection. How many of you have been counting down the days? This is a great collection just in time for holiday shopping. I would love to get any of these items as a gift. This is also a great collection because TOMS is a  "one for one" business. For every item that TOMS sells, they in return donate one item to help those in need. That's exactly what this Target + TOMS collaboration is about. For every item that this collection sells - shoes, blankets and meals will be given to the less fortunate. Talk about guilt free shopping.

I don't know about you but I LOVE collaborations. They give you the opportunity to get designer items at affordable prices and the pieces are exclusive limited edition. Lately, there have been so many collaborations and we have another one thanks to Target.

Target has teamed up with Faribault Woolen Mill Company to bring us an exclusive limited edition collection. The collection consists of American-made accessories ranging from scarves and blankets to weekend duffle bags in an array of stripes and plaid patterns. All items are made with the company's signature 100% wool textiles and are now available for purchase online. 

Don't forget to check your Christmas shopping list because these pieces make great gifts. I'm really loving all the pieces in the Prairie Stripe pattern; so chic and feminine. Which ones will I get....can't decide.

The Limited Scandal Collection: Fabulous & Fierce

I started watching the TV series Scandal this past year. After watching a couple of episodes, I was hooked. I managed to watch 29 episodes in a matter of a month to catch up to the current season. While watching this show, what really captivated me was Olivia Pope's wardrobe (Kerry Washington). Costume designer Lyn Paolo surely knows how to put an outfit together. She manages to make Olivia Pope look feminine, delicate, powerful and sexy, all at once. All those white and ivory suits, sexy gowns and amazing trench coats...oh I could go on and on. 

So when the bombshell was dropped back in June, I jumped for joy. The Limited was going to be launching a Scandal Collection designed in collaboration with Lyn Paolo and Kerry Washington. All those stunning outfits now within my reach and budget.

Ever since that announcement, I have been eagerly waiting for a sneak peak or a lookbook. We were shown two sketches, swatches and most recently the Scandal Collection clothing tag. Overall, there hasn't been much information released. That was until this past Friday, when finally we were given a sneak peak into the collection. ET News aired a small segment into the Scandal inspired fashion line. YES!

The outfits are beautiful. I love the neutral palette and rich fabrics of the tailored collection. The line consists of suits, coats, gloves, dresses and gowns. There will be 78 pieces ranging from $49 to $250. I hope they release a lookbook soon so that I can make my wish list and strategize. The collection inspired by the drama series Scandal arrives in stores and online September 23rd. Gladiators, mark you calendars!
